Terrence A. Savoy, 32, of Laurel, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after striking the man near the 7800 block of Contee Road shortly before 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, police said.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital with severe injuries and pronounced dead on Tuesday, March 5. His identity was being withheld pending family notification.
The investigation is being led by the Laurel Police Department and the Prince George’s County States Attorney’s Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact LPD at 301-498-0092 or make an anonymous tip by sending an email to LPDtips@laurel.md.us.
